Dan Walsh

Head Coach

Coach Walsh is returning to the helm of head baseball coach at CHS. Coach Walsh is beginning his ninth year as a member of the Titan coaching staff. He arrived at CHS in 2004 and was an assistant coach for three years under Cecil Vega until his appointment to Head Coach in the 2007-2008 academic year. He held the position for three years before moving his family to Sandy Hook, CT where he coached at Joseph Foran HS as a varsity asst. from 2010-2012. During his tenure as the Titans Head Coach, Coach Walsh posted a record of 56-37 and took the team to their first playoff appearance in the schools brief history in 2008.

Before moving to Texas in 2004, Coach Walsh was involved in the Rhode Island Interscholastic Baseball League, and served four years as an assistant varsity coach for the Bishop Hendricken High School baseball team in Warwick, RI. This program won the RI state baseball championship in 2003 and 2004, and was ranked nationally 24th by Baseball America in 2004. Coach Walsh attended Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts where he played four years of Varsity baseball. He completed high school in Warwick, RI, where he was a three sport athlete.

His favorite coaching memory was when his 2008-2009 Titan team defeated Frisco High School to secure the program’s first ever playoff appearance. Coach Walsh is a member of the Special Education Department at CHS responsible for supporting students in the general education setting. He lives in Frisco, TX with his wife of 18 years, Carrie, and children Daniel (6), Grace (6) and Ellie (1).

Travis Summerlin

Assistant Coach

Coach Summerlin graduated from Frisco High School in 2006, where he was a three-year letterman as a third baseman. He then went on to play second base at Palomar College (San Diego) for two years before transferring to Texas State University and graduating in 2011. He has coached baseball for four years: two at San Marcos High School, before coming to Centennial in 2013. He's thrilled to be starting his third year with a great coaching staff that he loves working with every single day. When away from baseball, Coach Summerlin likes to work out, hunt, fish and spend time with his family and his German Shepherd, Kaia. Travis and his wife Rachel have a 5 year old son, Simon, as well as another boy coming in April, Canaan.
